???metadata.dc.description.resumo???: O presente estudo tem por objetivo analisar os desafios colocados às políticas sociais e educacionais brasileiras que se pautam na defesa e proteção da infância em contraposição ao uso abusivo da publicidade voltada ao consumo infantil. Para discutir a temática que evolve a pesquisa destacam-se autores, como Zygmunt Bauman, Yves de LA Taille e Pedrinho Guareschi. Partes das discussões desenvolvidas referem-se à função da escola, enquanto instituição formadora de valores, frente à invasão massiva da publicidade infantil. No tocante à metodologia este estudo envolve (a) um levantamento bibliográfico, constituído fundamentalmente de análises de livros, artigos de periódicos, teses e dissertações, (b) pesquisa documental, por meio da legislação brasileira e da legislação de países da América do Norte e América do Sul acerca da regulamentação da publicidade infantil e, (c) o método observacional com a análise de vídeos do canal da plataforma Youtube.. O resultado do trabalho tem o azo de corroborar a necessidade de haver um mecanismo com força de lei, de modo a tornar mais efetivo e eficiente o controle sobre esse fenômeno mercadológico no Brasil. Isso se deve ao fato de tal fenômeno assumir um papel de grande alcance na sociedade brasileira e de, por essa razão, interferir no desenvolvimento integral das crianças.
Abstract: The present study aims to analyze the challenges posed to Brazilian social and educational policies that focus on the defense and protection of children as opposed to the abusive use of advertising aimed at children consumption. To discuss the theme that evolves the research stand out authors such as Zygmunt Bauman, Yves of LA Taille and Pedrinho Guareschi. Parts of the discussions developed refer to the role of the school as a value-making institution in the face of the massive invasion of children's advertising. Regarding the methodology, this study involves (a) a bibliographical survey, basically consisting of analyzes of books, periodicals, theses and dissertations, (b) documentary research, through Brazilian legislation and legislation in North American countries and (C) the observational method with the video analysis of the channel of the Youtube platform. The result of the work has the azo to corroborate the necessity of having a mechanism with force of law, of in order to make control over this market phenomenon more effective and efficient in Brazil. This is due to the fact that such phenomenon plays a very important role in Brazilian society and, for this reason, interferes in the integral development of children.
