Partido Social Democrático : formação e fragmentação em Passo Fundo (1945-1950)

Abstract

This paperwork presents the trajectory of the Social Democratic Party in the city of Passo Fundo, in view of the asymmetric power relations in the composition of the parties an political institutions in Rio Grande do Sul, and relations on national environment. The temporal cut takes from the formation of political parties in 1945 to the elections in 1950, getting through moments that characterize the trajectory of the party such as: the dismission of lines of partisans, worsening the distance between upholders of Dutra and Getúlio; and the formation of the Worker s Wing, among the internal enemies of the party, which originated the queremist movement and, finally, the process of de-Getulization of the SDP, with the separation of the autonomists. The main goal is to illustrate the internal quarrels among partisans with regional political status, such as: Telmo Azambuja, Nicolau Vergueiro, Arthur Ferreira Filho, Túlio da Fontoura and Antonio Bittencourt Azambuja. Thus, through the trajectory of the local Social Democratic Party, it is possible to trace its position, in relation to the instance length, lining up sometimes nationally or to the state trends, which influences the party as a whole
